Malaika Arora Khan



Malaika Arora was born August 23, 1973 in Mumbai. She has a Malayali mother, Joyce Polycarp and a Punjabi father, Anil Arora. She has a younger sister, Amrita Arora, who is also a Bollywood actress. When she was younger she attended Holy Cross High School Thane and Swami Vivekanand School in Chembur.
Malaika is a model, an Indian VJ, and a Bollywood actress. When MTV India started its operations in India, Malaika Arora Khan was chosen as one of the first VJs. She quickly rose to an MTV interviewer and became one of the most prominent non-movie stars, non-model females in urban India. MTV realized how much potential Malaika had so they had her co-anchor the popular show ‘Love Line and Style Check’ alongside Cyrus Broacha. They also had her work various award ceremonies and concerts for the television channel. This is what led her to enter the modeling world, where she has been equally successful.
She has appeared in numerous advertisements. She has also starred in films for cameos and dance sequences. Some of these films include ‘Dil Se’ and ‘Kaante.’ But overall she has mainly focused on her modeling career.
However, in 2007 she did the title song in ‘Heyy Babyy’ directed by Sajid Khan and a very popular song for ‘Om Shanti Om’ directed by Farah Khan, Sajid’s sister.
Malaika Arora Khan has been praised for being able to balance her marriage, child, and career. She has been married to the Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan since 1998 and the two have one child together, a 10 year old son named Arhaan. Arbaaz Khan was quoted as saying about his wife, ‘She balances work, home and kid beautifully.’
